Privacy Policy

DRAFT — requires the School's legal review. Preliminary version prepared for the Athletic Department. Not a substitute for legal advice.

Last updated: October 26, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola ("the School"), through its Athletic Department, is responsible for Deportes CSI. This policy explains what data this tournament platform handles and complements the School's general privacy policy.

2. In short

  • You do not need an account or to give us your name, email or phone to use the site.
  • We use no tracking cookies or behavioral profiles. We do not sell data.
  • We publish no personal data about players: no names, photos or individual statistics. Only the school or team name and its logo.
  • Your preferences (for example, the teams you follow) are stored only on your phone or computer.

3. What data is handled

3.1 If you visit the site

Stored on your device, not on our servers (browser local storage): teams you follow and schedule filters; a copy of the schedule and scores so the site works without signal at the court; whether you closed the chat tip and, for that visit, the chat's conduct warnings. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings ("clear site data").

Technical data: to deliver and protect the site, the platform's hosting services process technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit. It is used only to run and secure the site (for example, to limit chat abuse), not to identify or profile you.

3.2 If you use the "Ask the Lion" chat

  • Most questions are answered on your own device, using official event information.
  • If the assistant has no answer, the text of your question is sent to an artificial intelligence service to write an answer based only on official information. Your name and any data that identifies you are not sent.
  • We do not store conversations. The chat blocks questions containing emails or phone numbers and asks you not to share personal data.
  • The artificial intelligence providers do not keep the information or use it to train models.

3.3 Minors

  • Many players and visitors are minors. The site is meant for families and the general public, asks no one for personal data and creates no accounts for minors.
  • No player names, photos, grades, birth dates or individual statistics are published.
  • The platform is not directed at collecting information from children under 13. If a minor shares personal data in the chat, it is not stored.

3.4 Broadcasts and maps

Live broadcasts use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); Google/YouTube's privacy policy applies when you play the video. "Directions" buttons open Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze, under their own policies.

4. How data is used

To run the tournaments (schedule, live scores, notices), answer questions about the event and keep the site secure.

5. Who it is shared with

Data is shared only with Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, except when the law requires handing it to an authority. The services that host the platform run it on the School's behalf; hosting data is not sharing it.

6. How long it is kept

Preferences on your device: until you delete them. Chat questions: not stored. Technical data: only as long as needed to run and secure the site.

7. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls in the database, secret keys kept only on the server and a private channel for live scores. If a security breach affecting personal information occurred, the School would notify affected people and the authorities as required by Puerto Rico law (Act 111-2005).

8. Your choices

Delete the data stored in your browser at any time, and write to us with any question about this policy.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above; important changes will be announced on the site.
